We at the Gilmartin Group are always looking at new technologies that may be easer to apply and to give better thermal performance, or better value for money.

One common thing from these new technologies is that they are being developed, not by construction mterial companies, but mainly by chemical companies.

Here are some of the technologies that we offer;

NANO INSULATED PAINTS - Click for more information! (PDF File)

This product really was developed by scientists working for Nasa, it was then taken and further developed for use in the construction market, as a thermal barrier. Some remarkable results are coming from America, from independent testing, on real energy cost savings in the average home. It is ideal as a layered paint system to add a further barrier to heat loss in your home, especially in areas were conventional insulations are virtually impossible to apply.

SPACE SAVING INSULATION - Click for more information! (PDF File)

This is a product developed from a chemical product called Aerogel, this product has remarkable insulation properties, which means thin layers, as small as 3mm can achieve thermal properties, when laminated onto boards. It is ideal for situations were there is insulated boards required internally, but much thinner than traditional systems.

PHASE CHANGE MATERIALS

This has been developed by one of the largest chemical companies in the world. It is added into tradtional building materials, like plasterboards, to produce a product thast during warm periods, i.e - times in your conservatory when you get a lot of solar gain from the sun, the heat is absorbed into the wall, held in the product by a chemcial reation, and then when the sun goes down it releases the energy in form of heat back out. This is ideal and more energy efficient than air coolant systems.
